August 7, 2026, was a memorable day for Don Bosco Pvt ITI, Kokar, as the institute hosted the Provincial Superior for his annual visitation. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity for the Provincial to interact directly with staff and trainees, evaluate the institute's ecosystem, and share valuable guidance for future growth.
The Provincial was received by the Principal and Fr. Rector, who escorted him to the conference hall to meet the staff. The Principal extended a warm welcome on behalf of the entire institute, while Fr. Rector expressed deep appreciation for the Provincial’s continued leadership and support.
Addressing the staff, Fr. Provincial praised the significant developmental work achieved over the past few years. He encouraged the team to maintain this dedicated effort, highlighting the vital role the institute plays in uplifting and empowering tribal youth through quality technical training and job placements.
Following the staff meeting, Fr. Provincial met with trainees from both the ITI and DB Tech programs. After an introductory welcome by the Principal, the trainees rendered a welcome song and presented the Provincial with a bouquet and a traditional shawl.
In his address, Fr. Provincial urged the trainees to make full use of the facilities provided at the institute and to focus on developing strong, practical skills that ensure lifelong employability. He particularly appreciated the trainees participating in the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program at MECON Limited, Ranchi, pointing to it as an excellent foundation for their professional growth.
During an inspection of the campus, Fr. Provincial complimented the institute on its clean, orderly, and well-maintained environment. He emphasized that instilling values of cleanliness, self-discipline, and hard work in the trainees is just as crucial as technical instruction in preparing them for the competitive job market.
