Industrial visits play a crucial role in holistic education, helping trainees connect class room theory with real-world applications. Recognizing their importance, training institutions actively incorporate these visits into their programs. These tours provide exposure to manufacturing, production, and business centers, ranging from short visits lasting a few hours to extended tours spanning several days.
With this understanding, Don Bosco ITI organized exposure visits for its trainees to various companies. On February 17th, fitter trainees had the privilege of visiting Shriram Needle Bearings Limited, accompanied by Mr. Marcus, Mr. Neelam, and Mr. Rajat. The company’s manager, Mr. Pankaj, warmly welcomed the trainees and arranged an insightful tour of different departments, ensuring maximum learning opportunities.
The following day, on February 18th, machinist and welder trainees, along with Mr. Marcus, Mr. Linjus, and Mr. Manoj Soreng, visited Sahera Industries, followed by the Tool Room Training Center in Tatisilwai. This visit was an eye-opening experience, offering insights into industrial setups, efficient business operations, and hands-on training processes.
On March 28th, electrician trainees, accompanied by Mr. Marcus, Mr. Kuldeep, and Mr. Mridul, visited Usha Martin at Tatisilwai. The company officials warmly welcomed them and facilitated a tour of various sections within the industry.
These visits provided invaluable learning experiences. Trainees actively engaged in observing industrial operations, comparing their training at Don Bosco ITI with real-world industry standards, and gaining a clearer understanding of their future roles. Companies expressed willingness to assist with placements upon the trainees' completion of their training.
Industrial visits offer firsthand exposure to workplace environments, fostering active learning and improving technical knowledge. Trainees gain familiarity with different machinery and equipment, enhancing their practical skills. Additionally, these visits instill a sense of discipline, helping students prepare for professional work culture.
The trainees expressed gratitude to the company officials for their hospitality and the opportunity to broaden their perspectives. As industrial visits become an integral part of education, educators increasingly recognize their value in preparing students for successful careers.
