Don Bosco’s Feast was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at Don Bosco ITI, Kokar, on 30th and 31st January 2026. The trainees were informed well in advance about the significance of the feast and its importance. The very existence of the training center stands as a testimony to the noble vision of St. John Bosco, the founder of the Salesian Congregation, whose life and mission continue to inspire countless young people.
Preparations for the feast began a week in advance. The entire campus came alive with vibrant decorations and dazzling lights, beautifully arranged by the electrician trainees. The pathways were adorned with colorful paper decorations, and the flower pots were freshly painted, adding to the festive charm. The church campus and school premises were also tastefully decorated by the trainees, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and celebration.
On 30th January, a series of fun-filled games were organized by Fr. Jerome, Mr. Mridul, the cultural committee, and staff members. The games, held from 1:00 PM to 4:10 PM, were creative and engaging, ensuring active participation and enjoyment for everyone. The competitive spirit was high, and by the end of the events, B House secured the highest points, followed by Y House. The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing the efforts and achievements of the participants.
The following day began on a spiritual note with a solemn Holy Mass. Christian trainees and staff were invited to take part in the celebration, and most of those invited attended, including trainees from other faiths. The Salesian Fathers and Brothers were honored in a special way, as the feast holds deep significance for them. The celebration highlighted the spiritual legacy of Don Bosco and his commitment to the welfare and education of the youth.
After the Mass, breakfast and snacks were served to the staff and trainees. The two days of celebration, marked by both joyful activities and meaningful spiritual reflection, enriched everyone who participated and those who were present.
