The 22nd of February 2022 was a truly delightful day for the staff of Don Bosco ITI as they embarked on a much-anticipated trip to Patratu Dam. The weather was absolutely perfect, adding to the excitement that had already been building up. From the very beginning, there was a buzz of enthusiasm, with everyone eager to experience a day filled with fun and relaxation.
Careful planning had gone into the trip, ensuring that the day would be well spent. Various activities were discussed in advance, and some thoughtful individuals had even packed snacks to be shared during the journey, making the ride even more enjoyable. The very idea of stepping away from daily routines to bond with colleagues in a refreshing environment brought a sense of joy and anticipation. After all, outings like these not only provide a break from work but also promote a positive mindset, foster camaraderie, and contribute to a healthier and happier life.
For many in the group, this was their first visit to Patratu Dam, while others had only vague memories from visits years ago. This added an extra layer of excitement and curiosity. As we neared our destination, we made a brief stop at the viewpoint on the hillside. The breathtaking view of the valley below left everyone in awe.
Upon reaching the park near the dam, most of us eagerly opted for boating. The experience was nothing short of thrilling—gliding over the serene waters, feeling the gentle breeze, and soaking in the picturesque surroundings. It was an exhilarating adventure that brought smiles and laughter all around.
By 12:45 p.m., we bid farewell to the dam and made our way to Don Bosco Bariatu, where a delicious meal awaited us. Lunch was served at 2:30 p.m., and after relishing the same, we engaged in a lively game of housie. The game was thoroughly enjoyed by all, with several lucky participants winning attractive prizes, adding to the excitement of the day.
Overall, it was a wonderfully refreshing and joyous outing, leaving us with beautiful memories to cherish. We are deeply grateful to the Almighty for a safe journey and a fabulous day spent together. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the management for meticulously organizing such a memorable picnic, allowing us to unwind and strengthen our bonds as a team.
