Today 16th September 2026, our hearts are filled with a deep sense of gratitude and emotion as we gather to bid a grand farewell to Mr. Isidore Kerketta, a pillar of strength and dedication at Don Bosco Pvt ITI, Kokar, Ranchi. After 35 years of glorious and unblemished service, Mr. Isidore is retiring from his role as our esteemed Group Instructor.
Mr. Isidore’s journey with Don Bosco is truly historic. He was a proud member of the very first batch of trainees from the 1989–1991 session. Recognizing his immense talent, the institute welcomed him as an instructor immediately after his ITI graduation. A year later, he completed his advanced CTI training in Howrah, returning to anchor the Fitter Section for decades before stepping up as the Group Instructor. Throughout his long tenure, he has been defined by his calm demeanour, unwavering focus, and quiet dedication.
To honour his incredible legacy, a special farewell assembly was organized on 16th September, where the campus came together to celebrate his journey. Br. Tom, the Principal at the outset formally introduced Mr. Isidore Kerketta, rendering heartfelt thanks for his 35 years of service and offering the institution's best wishes for his future. He was honoured by Fr. Rector by presenting him a shawl. The second year electrician trainees sang fitting farewell song expressing deep gratitude to Isidore sir.
Fr. Babu Varghese, The Rector, appreciated his profound impact, noting that because of Mr. Isidore's exceptional training, countless past pupils are now beautifully placed and successful in society.
Mr. Trilochan, one of the staff, praised his friendly nature, his vast domain knowledge, and his constant willingness to guide both the staff and the students.
As a tangible token of our endless love and appreciation, special farewell gifts were presented to him including the gratuity on behalf of both the institute management and the staff members.
Taking the podium one last time, Mr. Isidore beautifully concluded the ceremony by first thanking Almighty God for the wonderful, lifelong opportunity to serve at Don Bosco. He expressed his deepest gratitude to the management, his colleagues, and generations of students for their constant support, guidance, and encouragement.
On behalf of the institute, I Harsh Hamid, would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the immense service Isidore sir has extended for the institute during his long tenure in the institute. I would like to assure that that his commitment to teaching will never be forgotten. Sir, you may be retiring from your office, but you will remain in our hearts always. We wish you a peaceful, healthy, and blessed retired life!"
Arsh Hamid, Fitter second year.
