It was indeed a memorable and enriching day for me as I had the privilege of visiting Tata Motors at Jamshedpur on 13th February 2026, accompanied by the Principal of the institute and Mr. Alosius. The three of us departed from the institute campus at 9:30 AM and reached the company premises around 12:00 noon after a pleasant and smooth journey.
Upon our arrival, we were warmly received by the HR Executive, Mr. Rohit Kumar Singh, who graciously escorted us to meet the HR Manager, Mr. Prashant Mehta, along with his team. Mr. Mehta extended a cordial welcome and shared valuable insights from his professional journey across reputed organizations, as well as his current role at Tata Motors. His openness, warmth, and clarity of thought made the interaction both meaningful and inspiring.
During the discussion, Mr. Mehta highlighted the company’s strong commitment to nurturing young talent and expressed willingness to support the students of Don Bosco Technical College through opportunities such as On-the-Job Training (OJT), apprenticeship, diploma training, and potential placements. He also spoke appreciatively of the discipline, values, and systematic approach that characterize the Don Bosco education system.
Following the fruitful deliberations, we were invited to lunch with the management staff, which further strengthened the spirit of collaboration and mutual respect. Subsequently, we were taken on a guided tour of the manufacturing and assembly units. It was an enlightening experience to witness the production process firsthand—from the initial stages of fabrication to the final output of vehicles.
The primary objective of the visit—to build a strong institutional linkage between Don Bosco Technical College, Kokar, Ranchi, and a reputed multinational company—was meaningfully accomplished. We expressed our sincere gratitude to the management of Tata Motors for their warm hospitality, openness, and encouragement.
The visit left a lasting impression on me. The entire campus reflected remarkable orderliness and cleanliness. Beautifully maintained flower gardens, expansive lawns, and well-planned surroundings added to the aesthetic charm of the environment. We returned to Ranchi with renewed enthusiasm and a strengthened commitment to securing a bright and sustainable future for our students.
