26 November 2025

Don Bosco Private ITI, Kokar, Ranchi, commemorated Constitution Day with dignity and patriotic fervour on 26 November 2025. The day’s programme sought to deepen students’ understanding of the Indian Constitution and inspire a sense of responsibility towards the rights and duties that guide our nation.

The morning assembly opened with a warm welcome, followed by inspiring speeches delivered by two of our students. They highlighted the significance of the Constitution of India, reflecting on how it stands as the supreme law of the land and safeguards the fundamental rights of every citizen. The students also emphasized the immense contribution of the founding fathers, with special mention of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution. Their words encouraged the gathering to appreciate the vision, sacrifice, and intellectual depth that shaped modern India.

Following the speeches, the Preamble of the Constitution was solemnly read aloud by the Principal, Br. Tom. All students and staff extended their right hands in unison, reaffirming their allegiance to the Constitution and pledging to uphold its values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The moment created a powerful sense of unity and shared commitment.

As part of the day’s observance, a special seminar was conducted by Fr. Deepak Kindo. In an enlightening session, he elaborated on the enduring significance of the Constitution in safeguarding democracy and ensuring the welfare of all citizens. He encouraged students to take an active interest in the political processes of the nation, stressing that informed and responsible citizens strengthen democracy. Fr. Deepak also urged the young people to grow in their awareness of both rights and duties, reminding them that the progress of the nation depends on individuals who are socially conscious and morally grounded.

The programme concluded with a renewed sense of patriotic pride and civic responsibility among the students. The celebration not only honoured the adoption of the Constitution but also served as a meaningful reminder of the role each citizen plays in upholding democratic values.
