Institute Managing Committee Meeting

The scheduled meeting of the Managing Committee commenced at 11:30 AM on 21st June 2025 with a short prayer led by Br. Tom, the Principal, invoking God’s guidance and wisdom for a fruitful and meaningful session aimed at benefiting all stakeholders.
Fr. Babu Varghese, Director of the Institute, officially welcomed all the members present. He extended a special welcome to the new members—Fr. Dayasagar and Fr. Jerome—and expressed gratitude to the outgoing members Br. Ignatius Kerketta and Fr. Kuldeep Xalxo for their dedicated service. In his address, Fr. Babu emphasized that “we are not necessarily called to be successful, but to be faithful to our duties.” He highlighted the collective responsibility of the committee to ensure quality training and security for all trainees, urging everyone to take proactive steps and offer constructive suggestions to advance the institute’s growth.
Then we had the reading of the report of the previous meeting after which we carried on with the agenda. There was a brief discussion on admission process which is through the state online portal. The final examinations are about to take place after which the board exams (NCVT) will take place in July-August. There was a placement drive in which 41 candidates were shortlisted on 20 June. Other placements will take place in July-August.
The principal informed the members that as per the earlier decisions, 30 new computers are purchased and a new interactive board too is purchased. The annual report was prepared and published in the form of a magazine. Speech and debate competitions were held for the trainees. An exhibition was organized successfully and the trainees gained a lot by way of innovate projects. The ongoing DB Tech training programs are; Food & Beverage, Customer care executive, Solar panel installation and Cloud computing application. It was also informed that the new HT transformer is connected for the institute.
The staff appointments and renewals were suggested and approved by the members. The immediate future plans are to recast the workshop floor and paint the inside of the building. Some other minor matters were discussed after which Fr. Babu Varghese commented that there was a positive atmosphere on the campus and he encouraged everyone to continue their efforts towards achieving holistic development. The meeting came to an end at 12.15 PM. Light refreshments were served before the members dispersed.
