Don Bosco ITI Hosts Vibrant Joint Celebration for Teachers’ Day and Freshers’ Day

The campus of Don Bosco Industrial Training Center was buzzing with excitement on September 4th as it hosted a joyous joint celebration for Teachers’ Day and Freshers’ Day. Spearheaded and flawlessly organized by the talented second-year Fitter students, the event honored the dedication of the faculty while extending a heartfelt welcome to the new batch of first-year students across all trades.

The festivities commenced at 9:10 a.m. with a traditional and respectful welcome procession, escorting the teachers into the parish hall. The formal program began with the auspicious Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness through knowledge, followed by a graceful Prayer Dance that created a serene and reflective atmosphere.

The Rector, Rev. Fr. Babu, delivered an inspiring opening address. He lauded the teachers for their unwavering commitment and praised their role in shaping the future of the students. Turning to the newcomers, he offered warm words of welcome and advised them, "Focus not only on mastering your technical skills but also on cultivating strong values, as these will be your true guide in life."

The stage came alive with a colorful array of cultural performances and heartfelt speeches. The program was a testament to the students' creativity and their appreciation for their mentors and new peers. Highlights included:

  • A melodious Welcome Song dedicated to the teachers.
  • A powerful speech by Neeraj Tigga (Electrician, 2nd Year) on the profound impact of teachers.
  • An energetic Dance Performance by the Machinist 2nd-year students.
  • An encouraging message from faculty member Mr. Mridul.
  • A special Welcome Song to greet the first-year students.
  • A welcoming speech by Karan Kumar (Electrician, 2nd Year).
  • Dynamic dance routines by students from the Electrician and Fitter trades.

The celebration's highlight was the address by the Principal, Br. Tom. He expressed his deep gratitude to the staff for their tireless efforts and dedication. He then officially welcomed the new students into the "Don Bosco Family," encouraging them to embrace the opportunity to grow in both skill and character. Following his message, Br. Tom lightened the mood by conducting a series of fun-filled games for the teachers, drawing much laughter and applause.

The formal program concluded with refreshments, after which the floor was opened for a lively free dance session. The sight of seniors and freshers dancing together joyfully underscored the event's success in fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie.

The celebration wrapped up at 1:30 p.m., leaving students and staff with cherished memories and a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the academic year ahead.
