It was a significant and memorable day for the staff and trainees of Don Bosco Pvt. ITI, Kokar, as the institute celebrated Teachers’ Day and Freshers’ Day on 5th September 2026. The day was marked by enthusiasm, joy and a strong sense of togetherness. The staff and trainees participated wholeheartedly, making the celebrations both meaningful and memorable.
The program began with a traditional welcome for the new trainees and staff, who were escorted into the program hall amidst lively music and dance. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp signified the beginning of a new chapter; not only for the freshers as they embarked on their journey at the institute, but also for the continuing trainees as they commenced another year of training and learning.
In his address, Fr. Babu Varghese, the Rector, encouraged the staff and trainees to make a good beginning with discipline, dedication and commitment. He urged the trainees to make the best possible use of the facilities and opportunities available on the campus and to remain focused on their goals.
Arsh Hamid, in his welcome address, formally welcomed the new trainees and encouraged them to look ahead with confidence, determination and a clear sense of purpose as they prepared themselves for a bright and promising future.
Speaking on the occasion, Abod Beck expressed gratitude to the teachers and appreciated their hard work, dedication and constant guidance towards the overall growth and development of the trainees. Mr. Nipun Praveen Kujur, in his response, expressed his gratitude for the program organized to honour the teachers and welcome the new trainees. He highlighted the important role of teachers, emphasizing that they do much more than merely impart knowledge; they accompany and guide trainees in their lives, helping them grow into responsible, honest and good citizens.
The cultural program added colour and vibrancy to the celebrations. Beautiful dances and melodious songs kept the audience enthralled and created a lively atmosphere throughout the event. Sheetal Lakra and Sanjeevan efficiently anchored the program and ensured that the various events proceeded smoothly and seamlessly.
In the vote of thanks, Sheetal expressed sincere gratitude to the management, staff and trainees for their support, cooperation and guidance in making the program a success. He also appreciated all the performers, organizers and members of the audience for their enthusiastic participation and, in particular, their commendable discipline throughout the program.
The celebrations continued with a few fun-filled games organized by the Principal for the staff on stage. The games brought much laughter and enjoyment, with both staff and trainees joining in the cheerful atmosphere. As a gesture of appreciation, all the staff members were presented with Teachers’ Day gifts. This was followed by refreshments, with nourishing snacks and tea served to the staff, while the trainees were also treated to snacks.
Overall, it was a joyous, enriching and memorable day for the entire Don Bosco Pvt. ITI family. The celebration not only honoured the dedicated service of the teachers but also gave the new trainees a warm and memorable welcome. As they begin this new chapter of their lives, one could clearly see the joy, confidence and excitement on their faces; a fitting beginning to their journey of learning, growth and preparation for a meaningful future.
