Quiz competitions are much more than a welcome break from routine classes. They stimulate curiosity, nurture innovative thinking, and encourage students to explore knowledge beyond textbooks. Successfully answering a challenging question brings a deep sense of achievement, especially when the questions are unexpected. Such moments boost confidence and keep enthusiasm levels high.
With these objectives in mind, a quiz contest was organized at Don Bosco ITI on 26th February 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from four teams, each comprising four members: GROK (Electricians), CANVA (Fitters), PERPLEXITY (Machinists), and BLACK BOX (Welders).
To ensure meaningful preparation, questions related to Don Bosco and general knowledge were shared in advance. However, several surprise questions were also included to test the teams’ presence of mind and depth of understanding. The competition featured nine engaging rounds:
- Questions on Don Bosco
- General Knowledge
- Rapid Fire (known and unknown questions)
- Riddles
- Multiple Choice
- Abbreviations
- Campus Quiz
- Riddle Clips
- Movie Quiz and Face Recognition
The teams had prepared thoroughly and displayed remarkable confidence and teamwork. The audience, too, was actively involved, as select questions were directed to them. Spot prizes were awarded instantly for correct responses, keeping everyone alert and eager to participate. The variety of rounds ensured sustained attention and excitement throughout the event.
At the conclusion of the nine rounds, CANVA (Fitters) emerged as the winners with a total of 50 points, followed by PERPLEXITY (Machinists) in second place. The winning team comprised Rahul Kachhap, Neha Lakra, Angel Toppo, and Arsh Hamid. Hearty congratulations to the champions for their outstanding performance. Prizes were distributed at the end of the program, and consolation prizes were awarded to the teams that secured third and fourth positions.
The quiz competition significantly enhanced the academic self-esteem of the students and ignited a stronger thirst for knowledge. It fostered collaboration, communication, and collective problem-solving among participants. The overwhelming response from both teams and audience made the event truly memorable.
A special word of appreciation goes to the cultural group under the leadership of Mr. Mridul and his team for their meticulous planning and effective execution of the program, which contributed greatly to its grand success
